​WomIN Motion
Women Moving.  IN their bodies.  IN themselves.  Together.

​WomIN Motion is an annual outdoor movement retreat in Southern Indiana that was created to bring women of all ages, shapes, sizes, abilities,  ethnicities, and orientations together to celebrate our feminine bodies through ​movement, camping, conversation, and community. 

2020 Dates:  Postponed for now.

Movement Offerings 

AcroYoga
AcroYoga is a blend of Yoga, partner exercises & acrobatics.  It is a practice that builds awareness, strength and mobility in the body, while  cultivating communication, mutual support, trust and connection between 2 or more people.   
Yoga
Yoga will be offered multiple times throughout the weekend by different instructors.  We will make sure there are a variety of styles and levels of yoga offered.
Dance
Dawn Lee will be offering an intro to a style of African Dance called Kizomba.
Laci Samira of French Lick will be offering a belly dancing session during the weekend.
And we are waiting to hear back from others about their dance offerings!
Hiking
Lazy Black Bear is surrounded by Hoosier National Forest and is right next to the Youngs Creek Horse Camp.  There are many trails to explore within and around the property.  
​Joanna Woodsmall will be offering a Nature Yoga hike.
Hand Movement Arts
Evie Sehr from Mitchell, IN will be offering a session of learning to crochet for anyone who wants to learn, practice or ask questions. These sorts of old arts invite dexterity, fine motor control, and more refined connection of our bodies to our brains. We can sit around in the evenings, drinking wine, telling stories, and making scarves.  
Various Types of Bodywork & Energywork
Throughout the weekend, there will be various opportunities to learn a few basics of bodywork, such as Thai Yoga Bodywork.  It is likely that we will give the opportunity for a community reiki session at some point like we did in 2019!
There will also be women offering sessions to those who want to pay extra for a massage or reiki session. Schedule, cost and location of any private sessions will have to be worked out individually with each practitioner.

Arrive:  Anytime after 12noon to set up camp and get oriented.

6:30/7pm - Dinner

Saturday, July 20
6:30am Coffee/Tea ready and Gentle Yoga Stretch & Meditation with Kara
7:00-8:30am - Breakfast
9:00-10:30am - Option #1 - AcroYoga: Building Up the Basics with Dylana & Fern
9:00-10:30am - Option #2 - Breast Self-Care and Stretch/Strengthen with Brenda
10:45am-12:00pm - Option #1 - Middle Eastern Dance with Laci
10:45am-12:00pm - Option #2 - Hiking or Swimming
12:00pm - Lunch
Free Time
3:00-4:30pm - Option #1 - Hula Hoop Dancing with Jenn
3:00-4:30pm - Option #2 - HeartMath and Chair Moves with Sherry
4:45pm-6:00pm - Option #1 - Latin Dance with Dawn
4:45pm-6:00pm - Option #2 - Reiki Level 1 with Sarah
6:30/7:00pm - Dinner

9:00-10:30am - Option #1 - Befriend Your Body Yoga with Bethany

10:45am-12:30pm - Reiki Circle & Closing Circle
Lunch
Stay and Hang, AcroJam, Swim, Nap.  Leave when you are ready.
5:00pm - Final Departure Time.
